Buying quality in theory means buying less...so how do we end up stock piling ?

i have knives that were passed down to me ,plus i love quality cutlery, then there was the " i got a real good deal " knife !

then there are my "dress up" knives for the going out on the town . And i have my Work knives ..
most are very good quality knives but just mean different things to me . I dont have too many compared to most, i use 2 craftsman tool boxes 1 for my folders the other for my fixed blades .. thn my top drawer for my EDC rotations lol

Let's face it....we're all addicted. When you accept this Truth, it makes it O.K. in some strange, mysterious way. :D

It's also pretty obvious from the email response that she knew WHY you were asking, she just chose to restate their policy and ignore your concern. That's just typical stonewalling. They need to explain WHY their fix is appropriate, not adopt a take it or leave it style of communication.

I think you must have intended to post that in a different thread.

There's more than one way to skin a cat and each manner of cat-skinning has a wide array high-quality knives available.

There's truth to that, of course.

But, I also know that General George Patton, long before WWII began, said that all you really needed to know about skinning a cat was that you removed the hide :D

And I hope I dont stop buying knives, I just need another job to buy the other ones I want, I mean need.:D

OK.
This is passion, addiction, and obsession. And I do not see anything wrong with it.

I have all quality knives, but I LIKE knives, so I collect them.....not in crazy amounts or with too much excess...but I definitely have more than I can justify having for any practical use :p

If I could afford to collect cars the way I collect knives you can bet the farm I would

And if I were a Sultan....man....the harem I'd have :o

We are looking for "The One."

When I find it, I'll keep it to myself, because if the word gets out, everyone will get one, and then it will be common, and mundane, and boring, and somebody will make a better one, and then I'll discover it, and be disappointed in my assessment of "The One," because I obviously missed it's shortcomings, so I'll have to get "The New One," and possess it, because It Is, and I'll keep it to myself, because if the word gets out . . .

What addiction?
