Where do you get yours. I have purhased a few square feet from TKS and have heard Tandy is pricey. Anyone got a good source of decent leather at decent price?

Thanks

John

If you get a commercial account at Tandy they are pretty cheap. You need a pulse and address to get a commercial account. They send out a sales brocures to commercial accounts and it has some really good deals that are in their stores.

Can't tell from your "about me", but if you are near Indianapolis, IN,
Landwerlen Leather has good leather...and is interesting to visit. Their store is at least 100 years old.

I am lucky to be relatively close to a couple saddleries. I go by from time to time and pick through their cut-off scraps- which can be quite large. Since they generally use large pieces, they then have good sized scraps off a side. I get it for $4 -5 / lb. I would say I get to use about 80% of the pieces I get.
So if you can find a saddle maker nearby, check with them. They can also get you a side if you would like.

I just got a double shoulder 8-9 OZ. 14 sq.ft. from Tandy on sale for $44.00 . Got it yesterday and it is a nice piece . They are always having 50% off sales , that is when I buy . You can join there Web club for $35.00/yr. and get those discounted prices .
