Buying whistles for youth quickly, any BF'ers carry them?

I'm needing to order some whistle for some upcoming hikes with a group of youth, I'd like to get them quickly, but wanted to check to see if any BladeFormer's have them in any of their mini-stores? I'm thinking either the Fox 40 or the mini fox.

Hopefully this is an ok question to ask.

L!

In Canada, the scouts carry Fox 40 and a scout leader gave me this tip. Canada's boating laws changed recently, requiring a signal device on the water(i.e. a whistle).Walmart has fox 40 in boating supplies and clears them out in the fall. As low as two bucks sometimes and usually the blaze orange. The same store will have black 40's for hockey at 8 or 9 bucks

Yes, I carry one on my keychain, it looks like a small metal cylinder. Unfortunately I can't recall where I ordered mine.

The TOPS whistles are great!

Fox 40s are definitely great whistles. I keep one in my PSK. For ease of access when hiking, I have also replaced the chest clasps on all of my packs with these. I generally prefer this to carrying a whistle around my neck.

All the best,

Fox 40 Micro. Tiny, and loud as a long-tailed cat in a rocking chair factory.

I have these, the ACME Tornado 2000, which have extra high frequency and pitch, I bought them when I read that they were the loudest whistle in production, they're pealess too.

The yellow version is used on mine, and my passenger's life vests (there's also the two ACR whistles which come as standard on Stormy Seas vests). They make 'em in orange too.

The black versions are for van, pack, PSK and FAK, and I carry a Fox 40 in my knife sheath.

We usually recommend that Fox 40 to our scouts... My son also has a flat yellow, pealess model that comes in a two-pack from Dick's sporting goods.

I am A Fox 40 fan, I have one of the flat ones attached to a micro light on me at all times, and a full size version on my PFD.

I misplaced my old Boy Scout one but I have a Storm which is supposed to be the loudest one made .I cover my ears when using ! Campmor has them for 5.99.

I use acorn caps when I need a mass amount of cheap whistles. :)

 I'm amazed at how many people I meet who don't know that trick! In fact, I don't think I've met anyone since I moved to Indiana from Ohio almost 10 years ago who didn't look at me in utter amazement the first time they saw/heard me do it.

Back on topic. . . I think the OP wanted to know more if any members here who have on-line stores sold whistles rather then recommendations for whistles. I don't know personally, but it's awful nice of you to think of throwing a little business to a fellow member instead of just running out to retail chain and buying them that way.
