Like many others my BWM LE came in today and here are my initial impressions.

Fit and finish are fantastic. The satin is beautifully done with a semi nuclear meltdown treatment on the edges like the BOSS Street. The handles are nicely finished and almost have a shine to them. The edge is a very nice convex which has been blended into the grind very nicely, as close to a zero convex edge as you can get on a flat saber grind.
The balance is right at the front of the choil where the edge begins. In hand it feels much more capable of chopping than I expected. Compared to the CG FBM in the pic I think the BWM LE will hold it's own in a chop off. I initially thought this would be similar to the Swamp Rat M9 LE but they are not similar in feel at all. The best way I can describe it is the M9 feel like a fighter and the BMW LE feels like a chopper.
The handles are basically a magnum handle with swells in all the right places and I love that it is just a little bit bigger than the fusion handle where your fingers curl under. The grooves on the handle also give it a very nice grip while still giving the illusion of being hand shaped.
I don't have a CG version and therefor cannot make that comparison but from what I have read, I would think this LE version would be a more capable chopper than the CG. We'll let the physicists on the forum debate that theory.
Here is a comparison pic. I will try and get out to test the BWM LE but that won't happen for a while so the performance is based solely on initial feel.

Over all I am very pleased with this knife and recommend that if you are on the fence of buying one, do it, you won't regret it.
