BWM or FBM ? Which would you choose?

Guess it depends somewhat on the use. I have a FBMLE and am very happy with it. However, when it's chopping time, my B11 gets the nod.

The handles on my BWM are much more comfortable.

BWM-LE @ .220" I think this is the ultimate of Jerry's creations on the Battle Mistress line of blades. It has the most comfortable grip, good blade length, blade design and thickness for strength and the weight is idea for swinging and carrying for extended periods of time!!! IMHO...

Match the horse to the course! If you do more trail clearing where a lighter and faster blade is required, the BWM is definitely the better option. If you plan on preparing firewood, clearing trees, or just plain destroying something...a saber ground FBM would be better. Try clearing trails with a FFBM and you will quickly learn from your mistake!

I picked up a BWM and still thought it was a bit overkill. I will probably still pick up a FXX at some time for the collection. After about two hours with the BWM i was worn out.. If I wanted a chopper i would probably get a Zilla but they are $$.

i agree with russmo the bw le is the shiznit. but i also like my cgfbm with standard slabs.

I love my CGFBM, but I'd give the nod to my BWM as it's just a much more portable package.

I owned both the BWM LE and the BWM CG and wound up selling my LE - as gorgeous a knife as it was, I didnt feel that the added performance was worth an extra $250 - you really have to use them a lot to notice any real world difference...

With all of this said, I use my B11 more than either my CGFBM or BWM by far - no competition...

+1...
FBM is heavyweight; BWM is light heavyweight.

I really want a BWMLE.......and then a regular BWM. Heard nothing but great things about them.
