On my nightstand:

This just now struck me as weird and it's been like that forever. I don't even want to look at my dresser. I have a problem.
 
I only have my phone, and my 4sevens Preon 1 on my nightstand.

Knives and the other stuff tha I carry daily are in a small bowl by the front door. I hate having stuff in my pockets when I`m at home.
 
My entire nightstand is knife related.
Top drawer: Slipjoints
Mid Drawer: locking folders
Bottom: Sharpening, cleaning, whittling, supplies.
And I whittle shavings onto a cardboard folder and discard in trash while watching TV. Ha
 
I'm not alone! Oh, and don't get me wrong, there are knives everywhere else, too. Top of the fridge, tables, office...some are even in rolls and boxes. ;)
 
Usually a large folder, tactical light. Diamondback 9mm and spit fire pepper spray on my key chain. There's a leather sap nearby too.

CZ 75BD Tactical with light, extra 19 round mag and Remington 870 short barrel, high cap 12 ga pump. Both loaded and ready. I also have a Surefire light and an older 4 D cell Maglight Whatever knives were carried that day in drawer. Wife has a S&W Highway Patrolman .357 mag and 3 D cell Maglight on her side. The dog sleeps on the floor beside her as well.

thank you for starting this thread, once more I find it funny to see that I keep being the odd duck of the lot... :D
On my nightstand, I keep my cellphone, an alarm clock, and eventually the book I'm reading at the moment (now my ebook reader). Nothing more.
I'm almost sure I have a flashlight in the top drawer though, and probably even a knife in the bottom drawer :rolleyes:

very interesting what some of you keep handy...Western W49,pimped m4 benelli and a somewhat psycotic chesapeake with a jaw full of canines keeps me safe at night.........FES
 
The knives that are loose are mostly on my desk... there are probably a few underneath the couch cushions. Like FES, I have a bloodhound keeping me safe at night.

Lucky! I used to be like that before I had a kid. Now with the little guy around the house, the knives are all squirreled away from inquisitive fingers.

My office is a different story. A quick count reveals 11 knives on my desk right now. Mostly traditionals. That's without going into my pockets or opening any drawers. ;)

TV room table : various knives for fondling and admiring...wife likes to fidget with knives while viewing...hmmmm
 
Knife case is across the room, only thing on my night stand is a HK USP compact .40 w/ 165 HP, and a Kershaw Outcast D2 machete, glass of water and Tums
