I should've known better than to trust a website with a typo in their name.
...direct link removed...
It just came as top search on benchmade knives. Website seemed legit, about us page looked ok, I posted an order for a $400 knife that they were selling at $119 and I paid it using a debit card on 06/17/23.
Got charged through a "stripe" payment processor three days after from a "Budhastoneshop" in NV.
Order is still in pending status today, 6/30/23. Looking at feedback online from this website I'm not the first one that fell for it.
Avoid like the plague.

Thanks for the heads up but I find it strange that you would post a link to a website that you warn us to avoid. shrug.gif

Since it’s supposed to be spelled “knives” and not “knifes”, that should’ve been the first red flag. Also, the text is sloppy with lack of spaces.

Why wouldn't I? The link gives you direct access to the fraudulent website, it gets indexed in searches and leaves no shred of doubt on the correct spelling of the website, especially since misspelled to begin with.
Let me know what you find strange on this? I'm really curious.

Yes, true. I don't normally check spelling on domain names, especially since there are 1st hit, even above the benchmade official site. Usually that position costs a lot, and not a lot of companies can afford to stay there, that's why I didn't expect it to fall through. I should've been more through though.

What search engine? I don’t see it on mine.. the official site is always first hit.

Link juice via SEO.

What I find strange is exactly what I stated. You tell us to "Avoid like the plague" yet you post a link so we can easily go there. It's your thread so do what you want with it. I just felt compelled to say that I find that strange. Because I do.

Perhaps you may find a clue in the title of this thread....."Byers beware: benchmadeknifes.com". 😂

1. When something is too good to be true, it's too good to be true.
2. No f**king body is selling desirable, discontinued, sold out knives for a 70% discount. NOBODY
3. Don't use a debit card to buy sh*t on the internet.

All good advice. Thank you.

The 10 to 14 day processing delay tipped me off.
