Byrd Cara Cara

I've taken this knife apart many times and no rotors fell out of anything. It was just scales, liners, screws, backspacer, spring and lockbor, lanyard tube, blade and washers.

seriously I think he's just pulling our collective legs.

*sigh* I'd love a ZDP189 Endura Wave PE with the Cara Cara's handle and the E4's FRN texture...

I'd just like a waved ZDP G-10 Endura. But they'd probably charge $400 for that.

Okay, I admit it. There are no teeny little rotors. I was just in a goofy mood. But since I've never seen the little rotors, I can't say for sure that there aren't any. :)

I have...but I returned with an empty sack:(
I wish these guys hadn't screwed everything up, since you had me convinced that I really needed that G-10 version, instead of just the FRN. Dang it.

Actually, in all truth, I LOVE the FRN version! Don't sell those things short. They feel very nice in the hand, are a bit lighter and they're tough. On the other hand, at the prices these things go for, get 'em in both configurations! I don't know, there's something about the FRN that makes me want to just keep picking it up.

The only ones I don't like are the all stainless models.

These are the perfect "first" knives to get for people who may not be into knives.

All in all, I like the size of the Cara Ditto better than the Spyderco Native.

I have the FRN Cara Cara. It's very good.

Someone somewhere wrote that the Byrds are the best bang for the buck right now (was it here on Bladeforums?) -That could well be true.

I was very dubious about the Byrds before I read a review of the Cara Cara on www.cutleryscience.com and then got it. I was taken by surprise by how good it was. I also have the Crossbill with a G-10 handle and like it very much.
