byrd harp

This was reviewed in Equipped. The first time I saw it, I thought it should be in the Multi-tool psych test thread.

I guess, it being from Spyderco, makes you think twice about its features. But if the Harp was manufactured as a no-brand Chinese import, you'll be laughing hard.

Personally, I think it looks like a gimmick and wouldn't pay $5 for one (that said, I haven't seen one in the flesh).

However, I have been thinking of late how awesome it would be if Sal and company came up with a solid, traditional multi tool for the Byrd line.

Can you imagine the run for the money they would give Leatherman and the like if they came out with a no-frills, butt-kickin' pliers-based multi with a Byrd-like price tag!? How many working Joes would jump on that like fleas on a dog!?

If they made a Byrd multi with a saw and file, PE and SE blades plus the standard assortment of screwdrivers/bottle and can opener/etc., and with all locking blades, I'd be first in line.

yeah i was thinking how cool a leatherman style spyderco multi tool would be
i`m still gonna buy a byrd harp when i can though , just to play with.
