Personally, I think it looks like a gimmick and wouldn't pay $5 for one (that said, I haven't seen one in the flesh).
However, I have been thinking of late how awesome it would be if Sal and company came up with a solid, traditional multi tool for the Byrd line.
Can you imagine the run for the money they would give Leatherman and the like if they came out with a no-frills, butt-kickin' pliers-based multi with a Byrd-like price tag!? How many working Joes would jump on that like fleas on a dog!?
If they made a Byrd multi with a saw and file, PE and SE blades plus the standard assortment of screwdrivers/bottle and can opener/etc., and with all locking blades, I'd be first in line.
