Hello,

I was wondering why some of the byrd knives come in the white/brown boxes and some them come with the green boxes with a plastic insert. I am kinda werid in the way that I like to keep boxes and I prefer the white/brown boxes, but do the green ones with the plastic break easy? Do you have break open the plasitc to get the knife and ruin the packaging?
Thanks!

I believe the green packaged ones can be hung from a peg in a display at a store. When I worked at a Sportsman's warehouse, we got both types of packages, and the green ones had a cut out in the plastic so we could hang them up.

The brown/white byrd packaging is the original packaging. We also had blister packs with the same design theme that could be hung on a display. We changed the entire line to the current green packaging which allowed retailers to store them like the boxes as well as hang them on a display. The green packaging was also designed to better display the knife. It was a rolling change, so there were a lot of retailers who had both in their stores.

Hope this helps.

Kristi
