I bought a crossbill awhile back. This knife seems to be one tough critter.
I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good working blade.

I've found all the Byrd knives that I've purchased to be robust as well. They're great knives, especially considering the price. I think a Robin of some sort will be next on my own list. Hopefully the FRN version will be shipping soon.

I just got my Crossbill from NGK today. My first Byrd/Spyderco. Based on the limited time I have had with it (1/2 hour), It is a decent knife. Looking forward to carrying it for awhile.

Thats until I find a Persian or Kris (want to hold one before I purchse it).

Thanks Spyderco.....

I also have a Crossbill in s/s,and it`s one of my faves-I love the Byrd line,and I
am gathering quite a "flock" of Byrds!!
Great knives-you won`t find a bigger bang for your buck!

Any chance there's a FRN version of the Crossbill? or at least one in the works? I'm not crazy about SS handles for the most part.

Congratulations.

The Crossbill has been my main EDC for going on two years now. Other knives have given it vacation time for duty, but I always seem to go back to the Crossbill.

+1 for the FRN version. I'd like to see one that has a more secure grip with a warmer feel. G10 is nice and all, but the G10 byrds are just as heavy as the SS byrds, and I'd like to have a lightweight version with nested steel liners for summertime shorts.
