Hey folks,
I bought a Byrd Meadowlard Rescue for my wife's car about 3 months ago. It's been sitting in the armrest compartment ever since, never used, and never exposed to anything more than ambient humidity. I did a bit of a spring cleaning on the car this week and when I pulled the Byrd out of the console I opened it up and noticed that the entire blade had very small spots of rust all over it, not pitted or anything, but rust nonetheless.
I was a little surprised by this, because I have a stripped RAT3 in D2 in my car, and despite the fact that I don't oil the blade or anything, it's spotless.
Sorry I don't have pics.
Not going to bother trying to clean it up or anything, it's for cutting seatbelts after all.
I'm not upset, or complaining, just an observation about the Byrd steel.
