Byrd Wings, Ontario RAT1, Tenacious, Boker Mtype

Rat 1 for sure, and the Wings as backup blade. It is always nice to have a serrated blade nearby; they excel for certain tasks.

The Rat 1 is a wonderful knife, would be a deal at twice the price. The blade shape is extremely utilitarian, plus easy on the eyes. Very solid knife, too.

Tenacious and the RAT 1.

Both knives are lighting fast to open.

My new RAT is the most difficult folder to open I've ever seen. My thumb is sore from trying and, for now, the RAT is staying in a drawer.

When I notified the dealer, a regular advertiser on this forum, he responded: "I'm sorry to hear that."

My Tenacious is perfect, as is the smaller Persistence.

Try loosening the pivot screw a bit, mine was really hard to open out of the box also.

Ok, I am curious, why a satin finish over a black finish

The black finish on the RAT-1 blade is just paint and will come off pretty easily.

im poor and I love high value blades, so I own both the Ontario Rat 1 and the Spyderco Tenacious. I gotta say, I LOVE them both. Of the two I think I prefer the Tenacious. It's lighter and slightly smaller, a perfect size IMO. small enough to be an EDC and big enough to scare away some bad guys. I'm also looking into a Boker Hyper, also a great value from what I hear
