I purchased this motor, its a leeson 2hp 3 phase motor 1800 rpm, the works. It is an hc model, so it has the foot pad that has like 16 different mounting options, it also has a C face.

My question, I was gonna use it as a c face, decided instead to use the base, do I have to worry about not covering the C face part of it? its a tefc motor so I dont think so but not positive.

here is what the motor is in case Im not describing it correctly

Thank you for any thoughts or help on this.

It'll be fine used as a foot-mount-only, just as it 'll be fine used as a face-mount-only.

I'd double-check that the C-face mounting holes are blind and do not provide a route for dust to get in (they won't, but I'd still check) and plug them with something to protect the threads if there is the slightest chance you'll ever want to use them in the future.
