"C" face motor question

I was just wondering if a 1.5HP "C" face motor and a 3HP "C" face motor would bolt into the same mount?( a GIB for instance)

Yes they are the same if they are both 56C

A GIB is setup for a 56C motor face

You have to check the frame size and compare it to a NEMA motor specification chart

I don't remember ever seeing a 3 hp motor that was a 56C frame

frame sizes all seem to have the same bolt circle size

However

when you go bigger, the shaft size also gets bigger to handle that load, the outside diameter of the motor gets bogger and

So the standard 5/8" drive wheels you buy will not fit.
