Mike,
My point (pun intended) was that the color is built into the model's name. If it were to be a satin version then it would be a CPABLE... which could be phoeneticized as "capable". Which while appropriate maybe... would not make it the JABA. It would be another "model" and since you were asking about it on the JABA post... I thought I would point out the obvious.
And yes. Drama. We have been treated to lots of dramatic posts of late( I'm sure you've read some of them), worrying about how one possibly could have received the serial# they did when they were sure that they were the third e-mail of the 500 (as an arbitrary number) sent to the Busse shop at go time. And oddly... those posts went basically unanswered (as is appropriate IMO) because those dramatic (read: whiney) posts would have been better handled as a private e-mail or telephone conversation and as such would have been more suited to the task and probably better received. By way of an answer, we all were given the opportunity to receive a refund if your serial# did not meet our satisfaction... more than once. Additionally, the answer did come when the question was posed in a more tactful manner (How many of each are there? There seem to be too many ABLEs) and not only did the mystery get resolved, there was a $40 discount offered for the next purchase per ABLE ordered. An exceedingly fair offer.
So... I don't think any of us can handle more serial# drama or hysteria for a while and I'm pretty sure Jerry isn't ready to wade into that quagmire again for the time being. That suits me just fine... I've always preferred my knives sterile any how.
