Those are good prices, however, if you do decide on the minigrip, I highly recommend the Cabela's D2 model which is about 70 dollars. It's worth the upgrade though.
I like both blade shapes, but I definitely prefer the M21--and to be fair, I prefer the M21's blade shape over my M16 too. I only have one recurved knife (41MC), but it has really grown on me. The slicing power of recurves is unparalleled. Both blade shapes are fine though and unless you really are going to do a ton of slicing, I would pick whatever I think looks the best. Don't forget that you can get the minigrip in tanto also, which is an excellent profile. My first minigrip is the regular style Cabela's, the one I ordered today is a tanto.
My use of the knives doesn't change for blade shape. But it does change for other things. First of all, the M16/11K has a slimmer profile, so for certain clothes, it just works better. Virtually no knife can be opened as fast as an M16/M21, but the axis lock knives with practice come pretty dang close--and better yet, they can be flicked closed. Therefor, when I might need to open and close my knife over and over again periodically, the minigrip gets carried over the M16. The black TiNi finish on my M16 is super tough, but the black finish on my d2 minigrip scratches reallllly easily, so for cutting through stuff, the M16 gets carried, but this probably won't affect you. Also, I think the M16 looks a lot more expensive so when it's more visible, I like to use it. And lastly, because my minigrip is D2, I'm a bit more cautious about what I do with it rust and stain wise, but again, may not be an issue for you.
