• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

C.S. Pipehawk to Pollhawk

That looks awesome!!!!! I wish I had the nerve to do that to mine. But me being new to all this, I'd have to have several to practice on.

Wow. Looks more like 2 1/2 buckets' worth of elbow grease to me!

I also love how you took that hole & turned it into a design element- love the star. Please update us when it's pewter filled.

That's a nice treatment to that stupid set screw hole

Thank you fellow hawkers for your comments. I was using JB Weld on my early hawk mods and then finishing with Brownell's Alumahyde II epoxy spray. I wanted to blue the metal but did not want the screw hole. So, after staring at the darn thing the idea came to me and out came the needle files. I am happy with the results. The star on the Pollhawk Is larger than the one I cut into my Spikehawk.

Finally completed the latest hawk of the new series. The Pollhawk Has a light patina and a slightly more defined pewter star. The haft is a medium toned straight grained piece of hickory finished in boiled linseed oil.
