can anyone tell me, is the false edge on the c/u 7 sharpened?

No, the grinds don't even really come close to meeting...the "edge" is pretty round and wide.

That would be a mistake.

Yep, a very big mistake. The only advantage a sharp top edge
is in use as a weapon to use while making a "back cut". It would
have no use on a tool.

You do want to use it as a tool ........don't you????
