Around 2002 they relaesed the C14 blue 93mm rescue with an index finger cut out on the top edge of the blade (much like the volpe has) !
Why was that feature discontinued?
I personally like it ,very much !
Any thoughts/info appreciated.
regards,Rick.

Simple answer is that the primary market for them did not find the feature desirable, so sales suffered. I liked it also, but I'm just a collector, not a first responder. For the record, it was not just on the blue ones that had the forward finger notch, all the C14's from 2003 to 2005 had it. There was even a very short run of PE black handled ones, like the top knife in the photo below.

Will just add that I find the latest incarnation of the Rescue, the best Rescue yet and the Atlantic Salt even a bit better.

I really like the blade on my blue 93mm Rescue, with the inch of non-serration up front and the cutout on top. If only it was in H1...
