Here's another of my "keepers" up for sale. This is a mint condition C2O with S30V. I'm not sure about the numbering system but this is No. 10.

Asking $450.00 including shipping and insurance. No trades and you'll need to add 3% for PP.

Thanks,
Win

How did I miss this! What a sweet knife...I have it's twin #20. The modified drop point is awesome, and it goes without saying that the fit/finish/lockup is like a dream. Incredible knife...great score.

Could you tell me what the #10 or #20 signifies? Is it a model number or a number in a produced series?

Anyone know the approximate number of "modified" drop point C2O's made?
Also I was wondering about the functional purpose of the "modified" drop point. Is it to provide a better grip for close in work?

Thanks for reading this.

It's the production number.

*shrugs shoulders*

You'd have to e-mail Kit Carson and ask.

Not sure about it providing a better grip for close in work.

The "drop" lowers the point for great controllability, the point retains great strength. . . while also allowing the blade to retain plenty of belly.

Since the point is very controllable, the drop point pattern is popular on hunting knives. Reason. . . .keeps the point from nicking an organ. Since the blade has plenty of belly, it makes for a good slicer and slasher.

The "modified drop point" lowers or "drops" the tip more than on a typical drop point.

Thanks GigOne! :) I sure appreciate the information. BFC and the many fine people here are a great source of reference.

Oh, and btw, I got the C2O today and it ROCKS!

Thanks again Win. A pleasure trading with you sir.

Enclosing a pix of the C2O with a couple of its new friends all dressed up in new Mercleashes by Mercop. ;)
