I just saw a listing, no picture, about a Spyderco C24 Black Hawk.

Can anyone describe this for me or point me to a picture. Thanks...

It's the smaller companion to the Renegade, sorta like a mix between a Bowie Knife and an AFCK in styling. They're both G-10 with pin construction (I believe they were the first to have this), midlocks, and also I thought the first to have a choil made of the blade tang and forward handle (though I guess from a recent post that the Dragonfly predates them). They never seemed to be around in great numbers. You can see a picture of both at:

* I've edited this message to remove my violations of the "if you can't say something nice..." rule. I don't care for the Renegade / Blackhawk but that's just my opinion.

I have a Blackhawk and I like it quite a bit. It has a very sharp point, a pronounced clip, that looks thin but is actually quite strong, due to the grind. I got mine from the For Sale threads, was looking for the Renegade and was sent this instead. But I was not disappointed at all, in fact, this one makes me want the Renegade even more !
So if anyone has a Renegade (plain edge preferably) they'd like to part with, drop me a line. I think these two are one of those "sleepers" that every company has.

I have a NIB serrated Black Hawk that I would be willing to part with. If anyone is interested send me mail.

Cordury - If everyone had the same tastes, we would only need one SKU. I appreciate keeping the words "kind", but I still opt for "honest", even if it hurts the ol' ego. It helps us understand greater truths.
