C75 carbon steel in tree brand pocket knife

just got tree brand Appaloosa stockman knife with c75 carbon steel. Can anyone tell me the basics of what c75 carbon steel is.
 
The European equivalent to 1075. Plain carbon steel with .75% carbon.
 
What Russ said. It is also used quite often as the "dark" steel in damascus by European smiths.
