C_tanners pot belly.

I still gotta get sharpening supplies for this knife. When you say "strop", do you mean one of those like used on straight razors, or leather on a block?

If you have any old leather and some polishing paste you dont need to buy anything.
 
A paint stir stick works really well. I glued leather to both sides of the stir stick so I can have two different compounds available. You cant cut it shorter or make a shorter one to take in the field (if it's loaded up good with compound) with minimal weight.
