CA Glue Source

Great Planes thin works very well in everything RC related. Get some of the debonder too. Thin CA is a great way to glue yourself together. Ask me how I know.....

LOL ASK me also, I do it 2 -3 times a week I keep a qt. of acetone in my shop I get it from work....

Ummm ... if you are serious about the nitromethane, be careful - it is extremely flammable. Think worse than gasoline vapors. Not sure if it can flash back to the container ... but take appropriate cautions to prevent that.

I would NOT use nitromethane as a debonder, or as a home hobby solvent.

It is VERY flammable. It is also unstable ... especially if contaminated with other solvents. The stuff can explode in the right situations.

Guys, I'm not talking about the 200 gallons of nitro in our shed, I'm talking about a one ounce bottle of Great Planes debonder which is pure nitromethane.

I just didn't want anyone going and getting a gallon of nitromethane. Commercial 1oz. bottles of debonder are fine.

Some debonders are a mix of nitromethane and acetone, which makes them work better and are stable. Most are primarily acetone. I knew the RC airplane guys use pure Nitromethane as a debonder, but didn't know any suppliers sold it as a 100% product.

Hey Guys,

I want to put a nice shiny finish on a burlap micarta slipjoint i'm currently working on. I know this material leaves voids.

Does any one no of a good source and brand they could recommend?

Thanks,

Bob Smith CA comes in every thickness and is very fresh. I order on line. I don't ever touch the bottles without gloves on.
