Ca laws on balisongs

hey im a fairly new collector tho my grandfather does it often, and i was wondering are the balisong knives illegeal in california??? thanks for the help on this

Balisongs larger than a 2 inch blade are illegal. I'm sure someone can post a link.

The knife store in the Santa Rosa Plaza sells high end balisongs. BM 42, 32, spyderfly(s) and some bear something or other with damascus/stag handles. I talked to the owner and he said he sells them for/to collectors and they're priced high so kids don't buy them. They're in the $150-200 range... about msrp.
