I have "sort of" started to collect the Alaskan Guide Series 110's. Any info on the different years they produced them since 2004 wood be helpful. I hope you enjoy the pics.

Sud, Great photos of all your Alaskan Guide 110's . I noticed the ram on the blade looks to have a purple color . Is that the camera or they have that color ? I went and pulled mine out a 2006 and its all yellow . DM

I think the purple hue is the reflexion off the background. Is your 2006 a rosewood or stag?

sud, nice AG 110s.... ... I don't even have one yet... I hope too someday... Nice pics too... ITE

Sudon, Mine is a rosewood . I've used it and it holds a good edge . Hey, I even like the ram on the sheath . Your stag has real good color . I should had gotten one of those Ironwood .Yours looked really handsome . DM

Nice collection.

I have a couple Sambar stag AG 110s and will soon have another. My favorite Buck knives are 110s with S30V steel blades, Sambar stag scales and either NS or Brass bolsters (though I'd like to have some with Mokume bolsters!) The AG 110s with the titanium aluminum nitride coating are a nice variant.

I recall reading in more than one place that a total of 500 Sambar stag AG 110s were made.

:cool:Nice photos,The AG 110 is my favorite knife.I use and carry it.Are they all done making the ironwood, because they still list it as an option on the web site although they have none in stock.

Sudo,

That tang marking on the AG Ironwood looks to be lasered or painted on. Can you tell us what the tang info is (laser, painted, stamped). Very nice collection of S30V AG 110's.

The Buck Knives Special Projects List 2009 has an Ironwood 110 Folding Hunter for Cabelas in a batch of 500 with a MSRP of $150. at issue. It also noted a "pad print on blade" which I assume means the Alaskan Guide series. So, these have either come and gone or they are on backorder. Since it is listed as an option but not in stock, I'll take that to mean that it is on backorder. Perhaps someone from Buck can clarify.

A.P.F., I'll agree with you on that ! Have you told us the story on your Avatar squirrel ? DM

Looked again online tonight and the options for the AG110, now show only Rosewood.I made a call just to make sure(no more ironwood),I'll just have to hopefully find one somewhere else. The Rosewood one is fantastic.

Does this mean you bought them?

I'm a Sambar Stag AG 110 collector myself. Though I'll stop when I hit a specific number.

I'll reiterate: you have a beautiful collection.

I bought a few more AG Iron wood Hunters. I'd rather put some of my money into knives, guns ect... and maybe make a little some day than to put my money in the hands of the wall street. At least I can take my money out every now and then and look at it. Imagine if you went into your safe one day and half your stag 110's were gone. Anyway, I still invest in the market but now my portfolio has a few more sharp things in it and a few more things that go bang. You can't go wrong with some of this stuff as long as it's quality and as long as it's some what of a limited run. Every year there are more and more collectors and Buck isn't going to make any more AG 2007 Stag or 2009 Ironwood 110's. It may take awhile, but they'll go up in value, they are made by a quality company and it's fun.

Well David, we have about ten species of birds that we feed out the back. The Jays love peanuts and so does this one demon spawn squirrel, that likes to snag the peanuts and then bury them in my wife's potted plants. The squirrel and I have this daily ritual that involves me chasing it with a broom, it running like greased lightning and returning to the scene of the crime before I even get to sit down again. Of course, this is all great entertainment for the neighbors. When I saw that pic posted of a squirrel on coffee, I just knew that it fitted my Karma. :D
