Cabela's Alaskan Guide Series 110 pics

Thats a start to a darn fine collection, I'll like to see it in a few years. I have to get me at least one. Thanks for posting

sudonym, you have a great collection going. The AG series have that custom shop quality to them.Do you plan to pick up a Vanguard AG for your collection?

I may pick up a new AG Vanguard. I've got one from 2004 that I use. I just picked up an AG filet that will be a user for sure. I'm toying with a stag kitchen knife set. That's a lot of coin for steak knives though.

Great bunch of Knives. I have one.

I still want to latch onto one with the Idaho stamp. When I bought mine I have the clerk bring me every knife in the store trying to get an Idaho stamp.

I WILL eventually get one.

:)

The Jays love peanuts and so does this one demon spawn squirrel, that likes to snag the peanuts and then bury them in my wife's potted plants. The squirrel and I have this daily ritual that involves me chasing it with a broom, it running like greased lightning and returning to the scene of the crime before I even get to sit down again.

I have the same thing going.....but I have one of these "Air-Soft" guns that shoots little plastic pellets.

Boy, does that save a lot of running. I can eventually train most anything to stay out of the yard.

One ugly pit bull ...... I smacked him right in the ribs and he just looked at me with a cold, baleful look and farted and then walked away at his own pace. I didn't shoot him again. He never came back though.

I'm glad. Next was the Model 29.

:D

A 44 Mag on a poor little dog?Sounds kinda hateful to me,and the world is already full of SO MUCH HATE,I could just cry thinking about it.Sure hope PETA don't read this forum.Don't worry,if you have some asians in the area that lose dog may become the main course for their next party.:D

February 09 I got the last AG 110 stag in the Lacey Cabela's which was the one on display and got a nice discount on it. The stag on my knife is not the nicest I've seen but it is making a good user. They had no box or sheath for the knife so had Jack make a sheath to match up with the knife and my favorite Ross belt. I love the knife and don't mind the logo on the blade at all.

Johnny, That sounds like a handsome knife . I like the logo on the blade and sheath .
Does Cabela's plan on continuing to offer this knife just with the S30V blade and rosewood handles ? Standard model ? DM

I called a Cabelas store in search of an AG Ironwood 110,he looked and did not find one.The next day he called me back with the news that he had found one at another Cabelas store after searching all of them.He told me it was the only one he could find, but this one Chuck Buck personally scribed his name on the blade and put a paper of authenticity in the box.He said I hope you don't mind the blade being scribed.WOW,not a problem I said!He went on to say I have to sell you this one at a discount, because it's discontinued.Should have it by the end of the week.

Sky, I've heard about lucky guys like this before . Great and way to go ! Glad, you got one ! So, is that just the Ironwood model that is being discontinued ? I thought that was so funny about the 44 mag.. DM

:thumbup: Great Tom! You are going to love the Ironwood. I know I do mine.

Yes I got this years model, its the rosewood one.I have been carrying it because its such a good knife. The Ironwood they only made in 2009,and I took a shot at trying to find one that maybe hadn't been sold.He said it will be shipped Fed Ex tomorrow,so hopefully I'll have it in hand towards the end of the week. When I get it I'll post photos. It was so funny,he was so worried I may not want it because Chuck Buck scribed his name on the blade. When I get it I'm going to write a letter to Cabelas top dog on behalf of this employee.

Cool deal! I can hardly wait for pics! I have tried calling Cabelas also, (but the local ones here), well they usually cant find the knife in the case even when your in the store helping :o I am glad you got a guy that knew what he was doing!! Congrats!

Thanks, yep I was really luck to have this employee answer the phone to talk to me.Hells Bells,I've never even stepped foot into a Cabelas store.I live in a place so small we don't even have a stop light.
