Just finished this one, one of the first damascus blades I forged on my press nearly a year ago and finaly got around to finishing. The blade was forged by stacking 9 sections of 7/8" wire rope and using the squaring dies to work into a billet then rounded and twisted and drawn out. The handle is some fire wood I had stabilized by WSSI, pecan with red oak spacer, nickle silver gaurd.
Blade is 6", 11" overall. Will try to get better pics after finishing the sheath and setting up my light box.

Thanks. Some of the wood was collected last winter when gathering already split wood for the fire. Several pieces were cut out of a pecan root ball that was shoved up and had been laying out since Katrina. Basicly I just bandsawed out any burls and crotchs in the firewood and cut into blocks. Some of the wood was half rotted, but turned out great after stabilizing.

Good golly Molly, great looking knife Will. I'm a real softy when it comes to cable. Very well done.
