This is some cable that I got from Ellis custom knives quite some time ago. I finally got around to forging it into a knife. It was sold as 1080-1084 cable, so that is how I heat treated it. I did some test cutting it and it held up very nicely. The flats have the forge scale left on, and the bevels were hand sanded to 1000 grit before etching.

The handle is black canvas micarta. It is held in place with peened pins and acraglas. I have shaped and sculpted them for comfort.

The sheath is 8-9oz hand tooled leather from Wickett and Craig. The sheath is designed to be carried in the right hand pocket. It is how I wear it and it is very handy and extremely comfortable.

Dimensions -
Blade - 3 1/4" tip to handle
OAL - 7 1/2"

Price - $235 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.

In retrospect, I would have not used this background when taking this picture. The design on the blade tends to blend into the background.

Thanks, I got a large piece of upholstery leather that is red and black and has alligator print on it. I normally dye it black, but left it red for this project.

I would say the knife itself is a bit to large for whittling...any whittling knives I have seen have very short blades (about an inch long) and large handles. This knife would be better suited for hunting based on it's shape and dimensions. However, The steel itself is very good. I did quite a bit of test cutting with this one, and it just keeps going.

Email sent. I'm so excited to get one of your cable damascus knives. Absolutely beautiful!
