This blade is of cable damascus and has a double hamon from selective clay quench. The blade is flat ground with a distal taper and a false edge. The hamon is very active and has ashi, urtsuri, and noi. The blade was quenched with satanite.

The guard is two pieces of nickel silver with a black single spacer material. The handle is the tightest burl of exhibition grade cocobolo I have ever seen and does have a little sapwood on the right butt end.

This hand forged blade is entirely made by me. Pics are not as sharp since there is an overcast at Fort Bragg today. Better pics will be up as soon as I can get them.

You will not be disappointed.

Overall: 12"
handle: 4 3/4"
Edge: 6 1/4"

Thickness: 1/4"
Widest Blade: just under 1 3/8"

Cost: $300 Inside US., Overseas welcomed shipping actual. paypal: dpknifemaker@aol.com

Leather tooled sheath made after purchase. Please say left or right.

Here is my latest feedback:

Daniel,

I got the Bowie today and I am very pleased. It is far nicer than I expected. Don’t take this wrong but for $175 I thought there was something I was missing because it seemed awfully cheap for a hand forged bowie. It is a great knife and I obviously got a great deal. I will keep an eye out for more of your knives.

Good Luck with your wife and the pregnancy. I remember those days. My daughter is 16 and it is a different kind of crazy at this age. Treat your wife well. The one thing I have learned is If I want to be happy, momma has to be happy cause ain’t nobody happy when mama ain’t happy.

okay i guess. starting next week I will be kicking alot of blades out. fixing to go part time to almost full time as a bladesmith........
