So I had some cable that I got from a local gravel yard. They used it for dredging the pit. I made some knives from it but couldnt get them to harden properly. So, I bought this cable from a rigging supplier. It is extra improved plowshare cable (about 1080-1084). I forge welded it all together and created this blade, and I was able to do it without any inclusions (that I could see). It has been hand sanded to 800 grit before etching.

The handle is bias cut micarta with black micarta bolsters. It s sculpted to fit the handle and held together with pins and G-flex epoxy. It makes for a nice comfortable grip.

The sheath is designed for carry in the right hand pocket. The knife fits in nicely and draws easily.

Dimensions
Blade - 3 1/8" tip to handle
OAL - 6 3/4"

Price - $235 shipped to US. I prefer paypal but will accept check or money order.

Thanks Guys. I have another from the same billet that I will be finishing up in the not too distant future.

That damascus is awesome! Beautiful knife

The steel from your graveyard cable... Would make a sweet san mai blade, right? Idk much about san mai but that damascus with a 1095 core sounds pretty awesome to me.
