OHHH!!!!!!! I really like that blade design. The cable makes it that much better. This looks like both a work of art and a dead useful blade shape for daily chores.

Is the edge-holding on your cable damascus comparable to something like 1084 0r 1095?

I really, really like this blade shape, kind of a modified dropped wharncliff. About the only thing I would change would be to have ground the blade back toward the scales another 1/8 - 1/4" for more usable blade. Yeah, I know, opinions are like.....

I'm assuming it's sold already.

This knife is made from cable designated "Extra Improved Plow Steel"
I have ordered more and also am trying to find out exactly what the makeup of the steel is.

My friend, Mike Wilson, and I got together this past 5 days and made damascus steel. When we were done we each made a knife from the other's pattern. This was his.

I am working on a similar one now that is adapted to my style.

Mike and I have been friends for the last 20 years. We sort of started out together in this. He will be posting his work here in the near future.

I got this knife today, and again, I am very pleased with David's work. He's a cool guy to do businesses with, and he makes mean knives. The pictures do not justice at all. I'll take some pics tomorrow if weather allows, and post them in the gallery.
