CABS. I like a choil on larger knives, but for Boss Street size (and smaller) I'd rather maximize the length of the edge.

I voted for the small choil because it looks best, but I'm easily persuaded so will probably get a CABS. ;)

So I looked and I dont have a single knife that does not have a choil of some kind. Wont you end up by default with a section that cannot be sharpened?
Why? You can always sharpen a choiless blade on a strop drawing it backwards and perpendicular to the blade. Same with a stone or a belt sander. Right? Sure you'll be snugged up to the ricasso, but you can still sharpen that last little bit.

Voted Choiless.

As to being able to sharpen right up to the end, not really a problem.

You may end up with a few mm of blade that are hard to hit, but it will be less edge than is taken up by even the small choil. The trade off is that you also won't have material get caught there when trying to cut.

Tons of classic and modern blade designs with no choil.

With its blade length, I think the choiless version will win for the first time over large choil.

I think you are right on.

The Tank Busters and BOSS Jacks were overwhelmingly large choil, although I went choiless on both. I'm glad Busse is still offerring the different choil options. Had the TB and BJ been offerred with choils only, I would not have purchased either.

That's my reasoning for a SCABS. I'm sure it can be done, but I doubt I can do it without messing up.
