Just had to pop in here quickly to post this. (really busy the last few months with school and work)

Decent CAD program that is very similar to solidworks for cheap.


www.alibre.com is running a special on their standard edition software for $99.00.

Is it CAD or solid modeling? The thing I like about Solidworks is that it's true solid modeling so it understands material properties, etc.

Alibre is a knockoff of Solidworks in my opinion. Solidmodel creation is very similar to SW.

I think you can try it for 30 days before it deactivates. Worth 100.00 IMHO.
