Greeting's all i have a knifemaker friend who uses CAD to draw out his knives he can make 2-6 moving part's with it and move them where he want's them .he can lay out a "Liner" lock and check it for accuracy before he even cut's material Please Help me find a program like this !!
id love to draw it first instead of everything being a prototype .

With this not only you will be able to design stand alone components but to connect them as assemblies. The built assemblies can be tested for interference (simulation of the mechanism work), the components can be checked using the Final elements method for withstanding a certain type of focused and distributed loads (mechanics) and a lot more.

The softwear is cool but requires more computer resources.

If thet is not a problem... then you will get a program that is right for you.
