I have a used/sharpened Ed Caffrey EBK with kydex sheath. There are scratch marks on the blade from sharpening. There is some black rust (patina?) on the handle.

OK I made the blade ugly with sharpening scratches! You can fix that with some sandpaper.
The knife has been used very little and sharpened only once to thin out the edge.
