I think that's absolutely beautiful. Is the wood stabilized?

Roger

All the woods I use that can be stabilized, are stabilized.
So yes this one is stabilized.

I do appreciate all the fine compliments very much.

Thank you all.

this is my 3rd folder from Todd. i am amazed it wasn't spoken for MUCH sooner. i gave it 24 hours from when i first saw it, but couldn't wait any longer.
i'm not trying to hog Todd's knives. i think everyone who is "in love" with folders and perfection should get one.
but beware: it then becomes difficult to buy a folder from another maker for fear of disappointment. roland

Roland:
That Buckeye Burl Todd uses is out of this world! It's got brown blue and gold, abosolutely stunning!:cool:

picked up my knife today.
as this is my 3rd T.A. Davison folder, my expectations are very high, but they have been exceeded by this knife.
fit and finish is perfect (i now expect this in any knife from Todd).
walk and talk, smooth, but with strength and authority. it does not get any better (another expectation met).
but it is the artistry here that exceeds what i could imagine from the pics.
the curve of the spine of the Wharncliffe blade and the curve of the swayback handle, effect a perfect visual balance in both open and closed positions, that is so pleasing to the eye. Graceful is the word that comes to mind.
and the burl too exceeds my expectations. it is absolutely perfectly matched (visable in pics), but it is also "alive" with color and pattern.
so Thank You Todd, i am exceedingly pleased. roland

the iTrader FB i left for Todd shows up as a negative. i must have clicked on the wrong icon. as can be seen in what i wrote, the knife and interaction with Todd is all 100% POSITIVE. i have emailed BF and asked to have this corrected. roland

All my experiences with Todd have been positive. That Buckeye Burl he uses is really exceptional!:D
