She's distraught. She lost her knife. Has half a dozen others, but can't live without this one, because it's absolutely perfect for her. Two blades both locking, both with thumb studs, wood scales, small enough for the office. PLEASE, do I remember what it was so she can get another.

Guess there are worse things to be remembered for than getting a girl her perfect knife.

btw, it was a Kershaw Doublecross.

Spyderco MicroDyad? Two locking blades, bladeholes instead of thumbstuds but still opens one handed, definitely small enough for around the office.

They ain't cheap, though.

No you don't ....you completely forgot...shes an EX.

That...unless she is the kind of gal who is stubborn enough to create an account here in order to ask what it was, and then see's this thread.

Yup. Double Cross. (Model 4380D)
Steel – VG-1 Clad-16 layers
Handle – Satin-fi nished bolsters with
black Pakkawood® scales
Lock – Double liner lock
Clip-point blade – 2 3/8 in.
Sheepsfoot blade – 1 7/8 in.
Closed – 3 1/2 in.
Weight – 2.0 oz.
MSRP – $129.95

Only 250 were made, so I'd contact either Kershawguy or 2bkc and hope they can get you one.

Her husband can get her the new one. All I did was tell her what the old one was. It's only the VG-1 version in short supply. The AUS 6 version is readily available.

Yeah, but you wouldn't want him to get her the less expensive one would you? :D After all, he's paying now.

"Knife, what knife? I got you a knife?" or maybe "Oh, you left it here in my back."

Just kidding. Glad that you still have an amiable enough relationship to talk knives.

The fact that you are on here asking a bunch of strangers if you should tell your ex what type of knife you got her is pretty pathetic imo. You make it sound like you are giving her a kidney. Be a man and help your ex out without even thinking about it let alone posting a thread. It took you more time to post this thread than to answer her question. :jerkit:

Two things my grandmother taught me:
1) If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything
2) Take the high road. You will never regret it

Sure, tell her. Maybe down the road, she has the occasion to help you out. Or, even if not that, you will feel good. Too easy to harbor grudges, which I don't guess you seem like you have, so sure, just tell her what it was.

Mmmm... do you think she was trying to rekindle the relationship? To me, calling you about the knife wasn't about the knife, it was a reason to call you.

Just my .02

I must be missing something. Does it say in his post anywhere, that he didn't tell her?

Sure he told us what it was, but maybe that was just because he knew we would ask anyway.

He never said, "should I tell her what kind of knife it was?"
