Called Buck CS today

You know Taz, maybe you should find another brand of knife as it seems like you cant get anything right with Buck. Reading your 18 posts since you joined you seem to not be happy with Buck products and is probably why you joined bladeforums in the first place. As for them being so busy they would take 8 weeks to warrenty your knives, I'm calling BS. I stopped by Buck CS/Warrenty last week to drop off my Bravo folder and have some chips I put in the blade sharpend out. The warrenty guy fixed it right there on the spot in about 10 minutes, chatted a bit and told about some of the new TOPS/Buck collaborations. It did'nt look to me like they were so busy it would take 8 weeks to fix your knife. In fact it took them exactly 19 hours to re-furb 2 112's and re-blade my 560 two weeks ago.

I emailed Buck shortly after Christmas wondering if I should send my knife in. They told me that it was their busy season and that it would take six to eight weeks to get it back. They also said the busy season lasted until March.

Thanks for your confirmation message.

Always..... :D

A valuble lesson learned, hopefully they have it. That is back when the blades polished and the fit and finish was perfect! That 503 is one of my favorite knives, though I must say my Delica 4 may be its replacement. I am not wild about the 'tactical' look of the Delica but having FFG VG10 steel and easy one hand opening is starting to grow on me. All my Spyderco's are top notch knives and talk about hair popping sharp. Wow!

My small Vantage Pro has been received. It was mailed on 1/29 and just entered the system today. I was told 2-3 weeks for the repairs. It doesn't really matter to me if they keep it 2-3 months as long as the locking mechanism gets repaired. They still do not have a record of my 503 that was mailed on 2/5. The girl I spoke with was nice. I just hope that old 503 shows up. I will call again next Friday.
