Calling All Busse Sheathmakers

Many good sheathmakers around here.

Not sure whether Brian (Okuden) will post all his available models or not, but to me it's worth the shipping costs to have it fitted to my specific blade.

It is his livelihood (feeds the family), not a hobby.

His standard model "types" can be seen at the link below, and I'm sure he does customs. If you want to know what he has "off the shelf", take a minute and give him a call.

I have a pattern for a Silent Knight --- if anyone has one of those they can email me their asking price... oh, i mean they can email me about a sheath :D :D

Nice try ... O Eternal Quester. ;)

[The Knight's Quest continues ... he must have ... every one!]

Well, no... I did see one SK that didn't thrill me. But I know of 4 more out there that do thrill me (yours definitely included ;)!)

I sure wish I knew more about the oldies though, there must be MORE... But nobody is willing to talk, that info is sealed up tight  :D

I have a strong suspicion that Randucci may have 4 or 5 hidden in his safe. He might bring them out just before or after Blade, to fund his folder obsession...

Nope, no more SKs here, I wasn't around when they were originally sold, so I've only had the two. I did here that one guy in California had bought over (12) back in the day, but I don't think he is on the forums.

As far as Mods go, I don't do too many as my extra time is limited, I have a few knives from scratch I'm making and working towards a INFI folder. :D

Oh, yeah. The oldies are out there ... hidden, guarded ... they seldom see the light of sun or moon.

But they are out there!

Add me and Dave Brown to the list of makers doing this for a living.

Any of you leather benders have a mold for a Fatty SFNO with mag handles?

And I'm wondering what would be the better mold for Hortons "LHFSH." It's an HHFSH that had .025" ground off, so it took it from .27" to .25". It's got mag handles. I don't know how similar the HHFSH is to modern-day FSHs, so what would match it better, a modern-day FSH at about .25" thick, or an old CG HHFSH?

Obviously, you can tell I'm hoping I can have sheaths made for either one of these knives without sending them anywhere! :D

I've done a few Modifications on Busse Knives. This isnt my regular forum, just was looking at a post and caught this thread.

If you want to add my name to the list of customizers, thats fine by me, so far all the mod's i have done have been total make -overs, and sheath work.

Thanks,
Andrew Takach

Awesome! Thanks!

Hey guys, time to bump this useful thread. Sheathmakers, please keep your "list" up to date by editing your original post (not adding a new post), so it's easy for us to see what molds you currently have available.

I have added contact info and websites to make it much easier for folks to check out your work and send you an email. I only did so for the sheathmakers I'm most familiar with. Other sheathmakers, feel free to PM or email me your info and I'll include it.

I think Semper Paratus does good custom work. In many cases you can get a Spec-Ops and mold the liner yourself.

I want to thank all you great Busse sheathmakers for participating in this thread and making it easy for us Hogs to see what knives you can readily make sheaths for, without us having to send in the knife. Just a reminder that the purpose of this thread is to keep sheathmaker lists up to date, so Hogs have an easy point of reference, with contact info and everything, to get a sheath made. Thanks!
