Calling All Central Texas Hogs! UPDATE

Well, no offense to any Austin HOGs, but sometimes we Texans feel Austin is our mini-California. :p

Sounds like a good time! I wonder if the Texas Chainsaw Massacre story started out this way....lol.

A half dozen infi wielding, burbon drinking, knife knuts all together in one place with no adult supervision... this could end badly indeed

Can anyone suggest a good location to have this event somewhere between austin an San Antonio? It seems like people are coming from both directions, so in the middle would be best

I'm thinking about early or mid-august definitely on a weekend

Gotta do it before dove season somewhere near San Marcos or canyon lake.

Can non hogs attend? I understand either way..

Hmmm, well, I would suggest that area around Salt Lick so we could maybe eat there too. My only concern is swinging knives and swords on public property with beer being consumed. Canyon Lake on a weekend is a zoo during the summer, and again, public property, beer, swords, expect Comal county's finest to show up pretty quickly. My mom and stepdad happen to live on lake front property at Canyon Lake, but they really don't have the room for this.

If we could just find someone with 5 or so acres between Austin and San Antonio, that would be perfect.

That's kinda what i'm hoping for. I'd like to do some kind of chop off... i've never been in one and i think it would be fun, but if it comes down to it, i'd settle for a pair of saw horses and a dozen or so 4x4s... I'll be bringing some various lumber to chop on.

If anyone has ANY suggestions, i'm open for it. I'd prefer to do this either weekend after next, or early august.

All we're waiting for is a location that will allow a bunch of people to swing knives around. If anyone knows of a place, pm me. I'm having a hard time finding a suitable location in the right area

I thought Texas was just a bunch of open desert. It shouldn't be that hard to find a place to swing knives. :p

It only feels like a desert, but we do have plenty of cacti, tumble weeds, rattle snakes, scorpions, and other fun stuff.

Aaarrgghh. No Austin October trip for the Gravelfaces......richard Cheese canceled his show.....

Booooo

yes, we're looking at the last weekend before deer season. There will be an announcement posted at least a week before the event, but i certainly want it to happen
