Calling out all MOABs...

I use mine. Bought it at Blade on Sunday. Monday morning I stuck it in the stump, before I lost my nerve. Haven't looked back. I've used it on some small stuff (limbing), done some splitting, and took a round off of the big dead pine that hit the house. I've even used it to cut lettuce for a salad while camping.

If you don't use the beast, your really, really missing out.

What is the "finest"/most delicate task that you have utilized your MOABs for? (the anchovies comment made me ask)

Slipping it ever so carefully from its tissue-lined cardboard sleeve to view its finery and celebrate its magnificence.

Oh, and one of these days I may filet some anchovies if I can find the brutish resolve to deflower so delicate a blade.

if I had more money and less debt, I would have sent it in to have the magnum scales replaced with machined standard ones. thing handled like a thick 20" ang khola.

Here's a pic of my MOAB - sage blade with handshaped tigerhide. My pic is almost as good as lunde's...right??:o:o

After the first swing....

The first hit happened down in ATL, out by the fountain. Once it banged the pavers the decision to use it was an easy one.

After some lovin' in the woods.....
