Caly 3.5/3 CF, Techno, or Air?

All good choices. You may end up like me, conflicted every morning about which one to carry. It seems the PM2 and the Techno get the most pocket time and the Calys the least. I think I'm just slightly less enamored by the leaf style blades and the lock backs. Still can't bring myself to part with them. You'll end up with them all, so it really doesn't matter where you start.

I don't have the Air but I do have the Techno and the Caly 3.5.

As others have said, they are both great knives and the Techno definitely punches above its weight for its size BUT the Caly 3.5 is the only knife I have duplicated. I had the CF ZDP version which I gave to a great friend. I replaced it with a VG10 version because despite my others I missed it. I have since also replaced the CF version. Love them both!

For me, like Cynic, the Caly 3.5 is my ultimate pocket knife.

I recently got a caly 3.5 CF and I love it. Long blade in a thin light package.

Looks like techno is next on my to get list though..

I don't have any of these but I have looked at all of them. The Caly is a beautiful knife but my Sage 1 is easier to open with a larger hole, plus I like liner locks. Techno is cool but I didn't want to spend that much when I was shopping around. I myself am looking at getting the G.B. Air because of the M4 steel, the light weight and I like the glass fiber scales. All are very different knives, so it's just about what you like. Techno is definately not a gentlemen's folder, but if you like a sturdy beefy little knife, it would be great. Calys have been around for a long time and they're elegant and good EDCs. Air is a wharncliff which some people don't like but it's a beautiful knife with great blade steel. If you choose one of these and don't like it, don't sweat it and just buy a different model. Thats the thing about spyderco, there's something for everyone.

I like the caly 3.5 ZDP CF, one of my favourite gentlemen folders!

Go my CF Caly 3.5 and I have to say (whilst I love my options) it beats everything out of my pocket - including my Southard...

I think, I'm ready to admit that the Caly 3.5 is my ultimate pocket knife.
