Caly 3 damascus??

Does anyone have any word on what happened to these after the collectors went out? I'm wondering if there are any around, or if they are coming any time soon. I think they look really excellent as a gent's knife, and would like to sport one.
 
Maybe my memory is failing me, but wasn't this a Caly 3.5 with Damascus steel, and bolsters?

If that's the one, I don't think it has been released into the wild yet, but for maybe a few collector's numbers. I don't the story on that.

I am digging that knife. I would like to have one but it would not be wise for me to spend the money on it right now.

oh nice, is it yours and are you EDCing it? I'm wondering if the VG10 Damascus holds up just like regular VG10 or better.

As for the pinned pivot, if side to side play becomes an issue, would spyderco fix it? perhaps it could be self fixed by pressing the bolster together a little in a vice like with a buck 110 no?

Money is tight lately with all my spending, but I think I'll gather some for this purchase...It's just so nice!
 
I also have one of these on preorder and the site I ordered through was expecting to ship in September, so I'd love to here an update on whether or not they're coming soon.
 
It looks like we are getting close. I saw the first sign. Non-CC pieces show-up on e-bay.
Still wondering where is my Ti Fluted Native. I know that Sal got one, Mr. President got one, so where are the rest of them??????
 
Yep, saw them on two dealers sites today. One is a headquarters of sharp things and the other you might have to 'work' for...
 
Just got a shipping notice on mine. I am a little concerned about the pinned pivot but thought I'd take a chance. I can always sell it later. 😄

well, if the pivot gets loose and blade play settles, if it was not brought about some kind of abuse, wouldn't that be covered for repair under warranty?

Do not worry about this. Moki made tons of the knives like this: Kopas, both sizes of original Persians plus sprint, Kris, M-Dyads, quite a few Al Mar models, Mokis.
 
Well I cancelled my preorder on one site, as I saw it on another site IN STOCK right now that sells works of knife for even less than my preorder price. Hope it comes soon!
 
Mine is on it's way to me, along with couple other nice things :)

Wow, mine has shipped and will arrive tomorrow! And that was on a site where it was cheaper than elsewhere I had seen.
 
Can't wait to get this, I found these pictures online (I'm hosting them, but took them from elsewhere). Really gorgeous. It's not normal damascus, but I like the very dark look in contrast to the bolsters:
