caly3 has a groove on the blade?

i recently got my hands on one of those CF scale caly3's and i noticed there's a kind of groove design on both sides of the blade. is this normal?

The CF Caly 3 has a laminated blade. The groove you're seeing is probably the where the ZDP-189 core and outer 420J2 layers meet.
