Calypso...Tell me agin why this isn't in production

Sal, please do make short run of CF Calypso Jr. I like my grey version very much. I will buy two of the CF versions. :cool: :cool: . I think the hardest part for me is to wait...
 
I'm playing with my Micarta Calypso Jr. as I type this!

I would love another Calypso Jr (or full sized Calypso) in G-10, Micarta, or Carbon Fiber!

It would be a dream knife for plenty of knife lovers.

Wow. What a knife. I just got my Calypso Jr. (VG10, grey), and am I ever impressed. Up until now I have been alternating my 3D Native III and a CS Trailguide as my EDC's, but this Calypso might have just risen to the top of the list. Great ergonomics, and you just can't beat a nice wide flat ground blade.

Cudos to Spyderco, I guess I'd better go buy a couple more before they are all gone....

I'm another big fan of the Calypso Jr, I can't wait to see it in CF. Just when I though 4 Calypso's Jr were good enough. :cool:
 
I just put a convex grind on my grey calypso jr, and wow is it awesome! :eek: :eek: :eek: This is the first time I've had a truly hair-popping knife, I thought my arm hair wasn't thick enough for that, but no. So, make more of them :)

Please don't make me beg! It just ain't pretty but I am willing to do it for a CF calypso jr. How about a special run of CF full size Calypso's for us forumites. I don't think you would have a problem selling them to us. :D

Please make the cf calypso jr in ZDP-189

I really want to try this new super steel.

I don't know if true or not, but, I read in the January 2005 Blade magazine on page 104, that the steel (ZDP-189) has 4 times the cutting performance of D2.
Right now, William Henry is the first production knife to use it on the Tom Brown Quest.
 
CF Calypso Jr sounds like the cats meow to me. I vote for S30 steel and a single liner or none at all. A blued ti liner like the original walker would be cool too.
 
Dear Sal-ta Claus... :)

I just wanted to write to you to express my appreciation for this early Christmas "gift" of an idea you have had for us "Forumites". What I am referring to is the idea of small, future runs aimed at our group specifically. That is absolutely wonderful!

And whilst I am already writing to you...I too, would very much like to see a CF Calypso Jr. (if it comes to pass) and would buy at least two. Ideally for me, the scales would be roughened a little as was mentioned above.

Why CF? All it does is look good when new. It's not a particularly good handle material. CF chips around edges and screw holes, doesn't take a rough finish, and is slippery. Seems like I saw several complaints here about the CF Delicas...
I've got three knives with CF scales, that have seen a lot of use, and the number one change I would make to each is to get rid of the CF. I'd much rather have textured G-10 or canvas micarta.
I can't imagine buying a Calypso Jr. as a safe queen, so textured G-10 would get my money.
Blue/black, or OD green would be really :cool:
 
Okay!! Okay!! I will go along with a Calypso Jr. in Carbon Fiber on a limited run. Buttt!!!! ButTTT!!! I also want a run of the Big Calypso ( C-54) with an S30V blade and Carbon Fiber handle. Also I would like it in combo edge. Not a bad idea huh?? ;)
 
1 vote for calypso jr. with g-10 scales. (already have a FRN handle model, and would like g-10 very much)
 
I want a CF Calypso Jr. !!! But, like Garageboy, I'mgonna have to save up my allowance. (well, not really :) ) So give us a price estimate please Sal! Oh ya, and S30V would be the bee's knees!
