My little brother was passing around the knife I gave him and my cousin's husband gets ahold of it and says "it'd be a lot sharper if it was made out of my Cambodian steel" to which I replied with a sincere, full belly roll 'Laugh Out Loud'. Then he gets his wife to go out to the truck to bring in his hunting knife, which is a remington. As he hands me his Remington knife he says "and no, I didn't make it" and I pull it out of the sheath I read aloud the stamped imprint on the ricasso "CHINA!... You sure didn't make it." I made a comment about the wood on the handle being nice, re-sheathed it and handed it back to him.

I wondered how long it would be till I run across one of these guys.

I'll have to rib the vice president of metallurgy at Remington Arms about that!
Remington Arms, proudly made in Ilion New York accompanied by knives shamefully made in CHINA

You should've asked to see the spec. sheet. Maybe Aldo can get ahold of some. HEHEHEHE.

A good friend I was telling about my new hobby and he was telling me about his knife thats as good or better than mine, I was like lets see it so he gets it hands it to me and it was a made in china /North American hunt club knife ,The ones you get for free when you subscribe. The sheath was all split due to not having a welt sewn in . I had to tell him my knives were 200 plus bucks because they are better made better steel and not a molded plastic handle.I dont like bursting someones bubble but people need to be politely informed. kellyw

S&W, Colt, Remington, Winchester knives are all made in China. The gun companies sell their name to the highest bidder.
Been going on for years.

I have a "Browning" that was made in Japan with a VG10 blade that is actually pretty good.

My friends were passing around one of my folders and paying alot of complements when a visitor (in the shop) pulled out his great knife, a chinese folder. Two slabs of SS with a blade. It was really difficult for my friends to be kind but each took the knife, looked and passed it to the next person. Some people just dont know, maybe they will learn in time.

This weekend I tried to put and edge on a chinese marbles hunter that a friend dropped off for fun, he bought it at a gun show, the edge kept chipping away. I tried to cut some rope but it would dull pretty quickly, nice looking blade with fake stag handle.
