SOLD PENDING FUNDS
For Sale Camel Bone Gents Hunter (Slimline Model)
This piece is a mid-sized hunter (7 1/8) in my go to steel O1, which I use when I want a super durable blade. Also, O1 retains a superior edge when its heat treated correctly. Im a fanatic about heat treating so I do it right in my shop. Over the years I know that I must have thrown out hundreds of pounds of steel that didnt meet my requirements. After heat treating and regrinding, and before I put handles on, I take each knife through strict edge testing. After the edge passes the brass rod test it goes to work on a piece of 2 X 4 which gets cut into tiny pieces and curls. Im also a fanatic about balance so you will rarely find a knife coming out of my shop without a tapered tang. This knife has a particularly slim profile to it making it almost a part of your hand. Its slight build makes it easy to maneuver for delicate work such as caping a buck or for use on birds or fish.
*These are the first outdoor pic's I've done in a long time. I was able to take them in a couple of different lighting conditions so there should be enough of them that you get a good idea of the knife and the color of the bone, etc. It was a beautiful day on the mountain today and it was a blessing to get outside for a while. Meanwhile, my lovely wife locked me out of the house but that's another story. LOL
Note: I'm posting this piece in a few locations online so the first "I'll take it" gets it. If you're interested, don't wait.
SPECS
OAL: 7 1/8
Blade: 3 1/4 Flat Ground with a Satin Machine Finish
Blade Steel: O1 Tool Steel RC 59
Handle: Dyed Camel Bone with white liners
Bolster: Black Linen Micarta with Giraffe bone spacers
Pins: 1/16 Nickel Silver
Sheath: : Lined 6-7oz Premium tooling leather by maker
My makers mark may look strange in this pic but it's just glare in the photo.
As you can see, this is my 'Slimline' or 'Gent's' handle style that follows the taper - it feels great in the hand
The sheath fits this knife like a glove due to the deer skin lining
SOLD
International sales are very welcome but they must pay the exact shipping costs.
